Hednesford was the heart of the Cannock Chase coalfield — the pit headgear has gone but the community character built around decades of shared work remains strong. The Hills area, visible from miles around, marks the edge of the town where Hednesford meets the Chase.
We work in Hednesford every week. Pye Green, West Hill and Wimblebury are our most regular areas — good road access, mostly post-war housing stock with wide streets. Hazel Slade and Rawnsley are the exception: narrow lanes and sometimes difficult turning for larger vehicles. We use medium vans on these lanes and always confirm access before the booking is confirmed.
New development around the Anglesey and Eastern Way corridor has brought a new generation of residents to the area — young families who appreciate the Chase on their doorstep and the A460 connection to Cannock and beyond.
